Lennon Tool Bar Sun Moon Lake Ruby Black Tea (日月潭紅茶) fountain pen ink is a red-brown color. Sun Moon Lake is a famous tourist attraction in Taiwan. It also has a plantation growing black tea. In 1936, a Japanese technician named Kokichiro Arai moved to the area around Sun Moon Lake. He cultivated black tea there and passed down his knowledge to locals, who perfected the cultivar by crossing Burmese large leaf black tea with Taiwan wild camellia and released it as "Ruby Black Tea."
Ruby Black Tea is world-famous for its aroma, which is minty and fruity. The aroma is followed by a lingering mild malty taste whose sweetness is just like the harvesting of honey.
Although the Black tea is the legacy of colonialism, it has turned a new leaf in Taiwan as "the beautiful ruby." "Lennon Tool Bar Taiwan Tea Color" picks up the red of Sun Moon Lake Ruby Black Tea to encourage you to write with creativity and innovation based on what you have learned from life.
The Taiwan Tea Color series (臺灣茶色) is inspired by Taiwan's tea culture. Taiwan is an island of tea, and drinking tea plays an important role in Taiwanese daily life. Escaping from high-paced life and busy schedules, Taiwanese people drink tea to relax. Some may just buy handmade drinks in beverage shops, while some will brew the tea themselves — like practicing a sacred ritual — drinking slowly and carefully.
Lennon Tool Bar was founded in 2014 at Tamsui, Taiwan. Initially they produced
and promoted the art and craft of Indigo Dyeing, a business that flourished a century ago when Taiwan exported a considerable amount of “doroai” — or the raw material of colorants used in Indigo Dyeing — to the Japanese Empire. In recent years, Lennon Tool Bar has launched a series of fountain pen inks in order to popularize colors used in Indigo Dyeing and to present the enduring beauty of traditional workmanship.
